The department of Plastic Surgery was started in 1967 and is committed towards comprehensive and holistic patient care.

With over 50 years of experience, we are involved in Cosmetic surgery, reconstructive surgery, cleft lips and palate repairs as well as burns management.

A wide range of reconstructive and cosmetic surgeries requiring refined and specialized skills are performed here. The department also provides back up to the various other departments in the hospital in the field of trauma, onco-surgery, head and neck reconstruction, diabetic foot reconstruction and complex wound management.

The Burns unit is amongst the best in the country and is recognized as the highest referral center for coastal and central Karnataka for the department of Complex injuries related to thermal, electric and chemical burns. The Burns ICU is equipped to provide lifesaving care with a multidisciplinary approach with emphasis on optimal recovery and rehabilitation
